| Life runs on chemistry. This unit starts with what makes something alive at all, then looks at the one substance every living thing depends on — water — and the pH scale that describes acids and bases. From there it builds the four families of biological macromolecules (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids) out of their small building blocks, and finishes with enzymes, the protein machines that make every reaction in your body fast enough to keep you alive. | Życie działa dzięki chemii.
